CAFP Launches Member Focused Job Board
RICHMOND, BC., August 24, 2015 – The Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals/Association canadienne de professionnels des services alimentaires  (CAFP) announced today that starting September 1, 2015, employers can advertise their vacant jobs on the  new  website.  According to Andrea Gillespie RD, CFE, National President of the Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals (CAFP), “members and non-members alike can reach out to some of the most dedicated Foodservice Students and Professionals in the industry.”
The listings, which will cater to the needs of Canada’s Foodservice employers, will be free to use until January 1, 2016. “This will give employers across the country a chance to test drive our system,” says Gillespie.
As an Association job board, employers will be able to reach out to a member-only pool of University, College and Polytechnic students, as well as highly qualified professional members. “This is a really phenomenal opportunity,” says Marc Haine, CAFP’s National VP of Student Development, “our student branches have some of the most committed and passionate young people entering the industry right now,” Haine continues.
As of January 1, 2016, the rates will be some of the most competitive in the industry. Member employers looking for talent will be able to post five free, month-long listings per year, and will pay a nominal fee of $50 per ad thereafter. Non member firms will be charged $150 per ad, per month.
Looking for a new position? As a member of CAFP, job seekers can post their resumes for free. Association members will have sole access to view and respond to website postings, ensuring that only our best and brightest will be applying for those positions.
The Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals (CAFP), originally founded over 110 years ago, provides members with ongoing continuing education and lifelong learning experiences for the diverse membership. Through its Credentialed Foodservice Executive (CFE) program, CAFP offers excellent educational programs at the various local branch meetings and at the annual national conference. The CAFP challenges their members to stay on top of current standards and trends.

CAFP Job Board
Starting September 1, 2015, members will be able to stay up to date with current job offerings. Members and non-members can post their available positions on the Association website for free until January 1, 2016.
Starting January 1, 2016
Member employers will eligible to post five month-long job ads per year, for free.  After using those credits, members can continue to post available positions at a member-only rate of $30 per month-long ad.
The service will be available to non-member employers at the rate of $100 per month-long posting.
Member job seekers will have exclusive exposure to CAFP members.
Only member job seekers will be able to post their resume, and search for jobs on the website.
Only Member employers will be able to view posted resumes.
Although non-members can post – only members can apply for the positions.
